About Habitual Sleepers

Meet Cass, Your Certified Sleep and Child Behavior Specialist

With a bachelor's degree in Family and Child Development from Texas State University, I began my childcare career in 2013. Over the years, I've supported children experiencing colic, reflux, sensory sensitivities, difficult transitions, and disrupted sleep. I repeatedly saw how deeply sleep affected a child’s behavior, regulation, development, and the well-being of the entire family.

That experience led me to become a Certified Child Sleep Consultant through the Family Sleep Institute and a Certified Newborn Care Specialist through Newborn Care Solutions. I wanted to offer families more than general advice: I wanted to understand the science of sleep and provide individualized guidance families could confidently use in real life.

As I supported more families, I recognized that sleep could not always be addressed separately from behavior. Bedtime resistance, separation anxiety, routines, boundaries, parental responses, and temperament can all shape how sleep challenges develop and continue. I became a Certified Child Behavior Specialist through The Early Years so my work could consider the whole child—not only their schedule.

Today, Habitual Sleepers brings sleep science, behavioral expertise, child development, and responsive support together. I personally lead each family’s assessment and care strategy while maintaining the close communication and thoughtful attention of an intentionally boutique practice. Based in Austin, Texas, I work with families locally and nationwide. My boutique sleep and behavior services include virtual sleep consulting and child behavior support nationwide, in-home sleep training across the U.S., and overnight newborn care in Austin.

WHEN I’M OFF THE CLOCK

When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me reading at a local coffee shop, swimming in Barton Springs, spending time outdoors, or planning my next trip. I'm passionate about continual learning, meaningful community, and creating a life that feels grounded rather than chasing the elusive idea of perfect balance.

What Parents Are Saying

Cassidy got us our nights back after 7 months of extremely bad sleeping habits with our 4 year old. We worked through attachment issues, power struggles, extreme tantrums and midnight wakings with Cassidy and all are gone now. We went from having a child that couldn’t soothe herself to sleep and stay asleep, coming into our bedroom every night; to a girl that can put herself to sleep peacefully within 30 minutes, stays asleep and in her bed and wakes up rested. All with compassionate training tactics, not harsh discipline. We did the 2 week training program and it was worth every penny and more! My husband and i are so happy to have our evenings back and to have a daughter that is getting the rest she needs! Thank you Cassidy!

She is an expert at newborn care and helped us to achieve 6-7 hour stretches of sleep within a few weeks.

Thanks to Cassidy, I had a great postpartum experience with my second child. I knew that I could rest and recover when she came over because my son was in safe and experienced hands. She is an expert at newborn care and helped us to achieve 6-7 hour stretches of sleep within a few weeks. We hired her for 6 weeks, but I wish that I could have hired her for 3 months!
